Process Operator - Wood Products
Industrial Voluntary Certification
Education Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent.
Training Hours: Complete 6,000 hours of on-the-job training and 720 hours of in-class technical training for this apprenticeship.
Wood products processing operators monitor and maintain the equipment in wood products and pulp and paper plants. They must be skilled at operating processes from a central control room, controlling the chemicals being used in the plants, keep safety standards, and testing the products for quality.
