  Industrial Voluntary Certification Certificate of Qualification Exam Red Seal

  Education Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent.

  Training Hours: Complete 7,520 hours of on-the-job training and 480 hours of in-class technical training for this apprenticeship.

  Electric motor system technicians work on electric motors, generators, transformers, controllers, and other electric equipment used in commercial, industrial, and institutional establishments. They test and disassemble the equipment, repair or replace defective and worn components, and then reassemble and retest the equipment to make sure it meets specifications.
