EMOWPDB is currently conducting a comprehensive research initiative focusing on skills development within the Healthcare industry. This initiative is prompted by the escalating impact of technological advancements and innovative technologies in the sector.

We extend an invitation to healthcare employers to actively participate in this vital research. Your valuable insights will play a crucial role in identifying opportunities for rapid upskilling within the industry. Moreover, your input will aid in the formulation of targeted educational programs, fostering collaboration with relevant stakeholders to address emerging skills development needs.

The anticipated outcome of this research is the generation of recommendations that will effectively address skill deficiencies in London’s labour force. By doing so, we aim to equip the healthcare industry workforce to adeptly navigate and respond to the continuous influence of innovative technology.

Literacy Link South Central (LLSC) needs refurbished computers to support its digital literacy and community housing project. They have partnered with the London Public Library, London & Middlesex Community Housing(LMCH), and Fanshawe College’s School of Access Studies to serve low-income and underrepresented learners across London by delivering digital skills workshops at LMCH sites.

Many -if not most- of these learners lack access to computers. Laptop and desktop computers are an excellent way to help learners learn how to store important documents, access word processing technology, and participate in online meeting platforms and interfaces to continue their education and become employment-ready. Learners have indicated they cannot afford this technology, so LLSC is working with community partners to try and secure computers for them.
